STATEWIDE RESOURCES:
The CONNECTICUT STATE GOVERNMENT site has numerous resources of interest. Very useful here is a complete copy of the CT General Statutes. Also of interest is the State Register and Manual.
The CT Office of Legislative Research offers PUBLIC ACT SUMMARIES for acts passed during the most recent legislative session.

   The planning of the
CT DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (Conn DOT) is coordinated with the planning of the HVCEO. Proceed to the links section under HVCEO Transportation to access selected page links at the Conn DOT site.

The statewide growth guide produced by the
CT OFFICE OF POLICY AND MANAGEMENT (CT OPM) is coordinated with the HVCEO Growth Guide Map. The state plan is entitled the Conservation and Development Policies Plan for Connecticut.

The HVCEO is part of Connecticut's statewide system of 15 regions dating from 1947. The other fourteen
REGIONAL PLANNING ORGANIZATIONS can be found at this CT OPM Site. All fifteen organizations are coordinated by their major financial sponsors CT OPM and Conn DOT.

   The
CT DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION is also an important resource in matters of community and regional planning.

   The
CT ECONOMIC INFORMATION SYSTEM is a database of current municipal demographic and economic information. Included are statistics about educational systems and local finances. The site is maintained by the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development.

The  MAP AND GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION CENTER ("MAGIC") SITE AT THE UNIV. OF CT offers free downloads (for those with geographic information system software) of high quality local maps for governmental and business planning or your personal use. Historic maps of Connecticut are available without specialized software.

   The
